Why We Created AquaBreedingSkill

Aquarium keeping is not just a fascinating hobby; it is also a significant responsibility toward nature. Observing the current state of the aquarium fish market,  we recognized the need for a project that would transform the approach to breeding and selling aquarium inhabitants. AquaBreedingSkill was born out of a desire to address several key challenges faced by aquarists and the environment.

Imports from Asia

A large proportion of aquarium fish available on the market come from Asia. Unfortunately, this fish often has many problems:

• It is no secret that fish from Asia often come with various surprises in the form of diseases.

• Difficulties in transporting fish over long distances cause significant stress.

• High mortality rates during quarantine.

Wild-Caught Fish

Some aquarium fish, especially rare species, are caught in the wild. This leads to the following problems:

• Uncontrolled catching depletes natural populations and threatens ecosystems.

• Long and complex transportation negatively impacts the health of the fish.

• Wild-caught fish are often not adapted to living in captivity.

Our Mission

We see the solution to these problems in promoting local breeding of aquarium fish. AquaBreedingSkill aims to achieve the following goals:

1. Increasing the number of fish bred by hobbyists. We want to inspire hobbyists to breed challenging and rare species of fish on their own.

2. Preserving natural resources. Breeding fish in artificial environments reduces the need to catch wild populations.

3. Improving fish health. Locally bred fish are maximally adapted to the conditions in their respective countries, which contributes to their better health and vitality.

4. Education and experience sharing. We share knowledge and provide detailed instructions to help aquarists succeed in breeding.

5. Developing the local market. Encouraging local production of aquarium fish supports hobbyists and producers.
