Looking for Red Crystal shrimp? Crystal Red (CRS) is the classic red-and-white Caridina cantonensis — the shrimp that started the bee-shrimp hobby. A soft-water species that rewards careful keepers with intense colour and steady breeding.

Care
Caridina cantonensis need soft, slightly acidic water: a low KH and stable, cool temperatures matter more than anything else. Most keepers use reverse-osmosis water remineralised with a shrimp-specific GH+ salt. Use an active soil substrate, keep the tank mature and well planted with mosses, acclimate very slowly and feed sparingly. Not suitable for untreated hard tap water — check your water with our free hardness tool first.
