Live food for fry and shrimp

Newly hatched fry are too small for flakes or frozen food. Live food cultures give them the right size of food at every stage.

• Infusoria — the very first food for the tiniest fry in their first days.
• Microworms — the next step after infusoria; easy to keep going at home.
• Vinegar eels (Turbatrix aceti) — tiny nematodes that stay alive in the aquarium water for a long time.
• Tubifex — protein-rich worms for growing and adult fish.
• Artemia eggs — hatch brine shrimp nauplii yourself in salt water.
